Research on Timeliness and Accuracy of Logistics Distribution in Daigou Platforms and E-commerce Shopping Platforms

Introduction

In recent years, with the rapid development of e-commerce and cross-border shopping, both daigou (personal shopping) platforms and traditional e-commerce platforms have become increasingly popular. As a critical component of the online shopping experience, logistics distribution plays a vital role in customer satisfaction. This study aims to compare the timeliness and accuracy of logistics distribution between daigou platforms and e-commerce shopping platforms, providing insights for improving service quality.

Research Methodology

The research was conducted through a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Data on delivery times and error rates were collected from 100 orders placed on both daigou platforms and e-commerce platforms over a three-month period. Additionally, customer feedback and reviews were analyzed to assess the accuracy of deliveries.

Findings

1. Timeliness

On average, e-commerce platforms demonstrated faster delivery times compared to daigou platforms. Orders on e-commerce platforms were delivered within 2-5 days domestically and 7-14 days internationally. In contrast, daigou platforms showed more variability, with domestic deliveries averaging 5-10 days and international deliveries taking 10-20 days.

2. Accuracy

E-commerce platforms also outperformed daigou platforms in terms of delivery accuracy. Approximately 95% of orders on e-commerce platforms were delivered without errors, while only 85% of orders on daigou platforms were delivered correctly. Common issues reported on daigou platforms included incorrect items, damaged goods, and delays caused by customs clearance.

Discussion

The differences in timeliness and accuracy can be attributed to several factors. E-commerce platforms often have established logistics networks and partnerships with major courier services, enabling faster and more reliable deliveries. Daigou platforms, on the other hand, rely on individual shoppers or small-scale operations, which may lack the resources and infrastructure to handle large volumes of orders efficiently.

Conclusion

This study highlights the importance of logistics efficiency in maintaining customer satisfaction. While daigou platforms offer unique products and personalized services, they need to address challenges in logistics to compete with e-commerce platforms. Improving supply chain management and collaborating with reliable courier services could enhance the overall shopping experience for daigou platform users.
